One of SSEB’s program objectives is to act as a liaison between states, the federal government and industry in projects and programs affecting state and federal laws, standards and requirements, licenses and approvals.

Through these resolutions and policy positions, SSEB is providing our member states a collective voice at the national level on energy and environmental issues.

2026 Schedule

Bold text denotes Board Member action deadlines.
7/1/26 (Wednesday)Memo emailed to all SSEB Members inviting resolutions for consideration during the Board’s Annual Meeting.
8/7/26 (Friday)Deadline for Board Members to submit resolutions. SSEB staff will format all resolutions and incorporate minor administrative changes for consistency only.
8/14/26 (Friday)Distribution of proposed policy resolutions to Board Members via email.
8/28/26 (Friday)Deadline for Board Members to submit amendments to the proposed policy resolutions.  All proposed amendments must be submitted through a Board Member.
During the weeks of 8/31/26 or 9/7/26The Resolutions Committee will convene to review and approve the resolutions and amendments that will be considered by the Board on 9/21/26.
9/14/26 (Monday)Proposed policy resolutions with all amendments, as approved by the Resolutions Committee, will be emailed to all SSEB members.
9/21/26 (Monday)Southern States Energy Board Annual Business Session during which the Board Members will present, discuss, and vote on policy resolutions.
