One of SSEB’s program objectives is to act as a liaison between states, the federal government and industry in projects and programs affecting state and federal laws, standards and requirements, licenses and approvals.

Through these resolutions and policy positions, SSEB is providing our member states a collective voice at the national level on energy and environmental issues.

2023 Schedule

July 2023 Memo emailed and/or mailed to all SSEB Members inviting resolutions for consideration during the Board’s Annual Meeting.  
TBA Appointment of Resolutions Committee by SSEB’s Chairman. 
Saturday, August 5, 2023 Deadline for Board Members to submit resolutions. SSEB staff will format all resolutions and incorporate minor administrative changes for consistency only.  
Friday, August 11, 2023 Distribution of proposed policy resolutions to Board Members via electronic mail.  
Monday, August 28, 2023 Deadline for Board Members to submit amendments to the proposed policy resolutions.  All proposed amendments must be submitted through a Board Member. 
Monday, September 11, 2023 Proposed policy resolutions with all amendments, as approved by the Resolutions Committee, will be emailed to all SSEB members.   
Monday, September 18, 2023 Southern States Energy Board Annual Business Session during which the Board Members will present, discuss, and vote on policy resolutions.
