ATLANTA - The city of Atlanta was listed as 1 of 25 cities with the greatest number of energy-efficient buildings that earned the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Energy Star certification in 2011. View EPA's news release here.
smile IT'S TIME FOR COAL! That's the message from the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity, which launches a new ad today backing its fossil fuel of choice. The 60-second spot called "Now is the Time" is running nationally as part of the group's $40 million campaign to promote coal, as well as advanced technology coal plants. ACCCE's Evan Tracey says the ads aren't overtly political, but that ACCCE wants coal to be on the public's mind as the presidential campaign will no doubt focus on the Solyndra scandal and gasoline prices. smile October 15, 2011, Governor Mary Fallin became the 2011-2012, Chair of the Southern States Energy Board. Governor Fallin was elected November 2, 2010, during a historic election in which she became the first-ever female governor of Oklahoma. This years annual meeting will be hosted by Governor Mary Fallin, Oklahoma. More details will be posted here as soon as they are confirmed.
