Turney Foshee serves as Communications Manager for the Southern States Energy Board, where he leads the organization’s strategic communications, publication development, digital engagement, and information technology and cybersecurity functions. Combining policy fluency with creative execution and technical oversight, Foshee plays a central role in translating complex energy, environmental, and technology issues into clear, high-impact communications for state leaders, federal partners, industry stakeholders, and the public.

His work spans the full communications spectrum, including research and policy tracking, publication development, graphic design, website management, external communications, and digital infrastructure support. Through this work, he provides legislative leaders and policymakers with actionable policy intelligence on energy and environmental developments across the Southern region.

In addition to his communications leadership, Foshee oversees management of the Board’s information technology systems and cybersecurity practices, supporting SSEB’s digital infrastructure, operational continuity, and organizational resilience. This role includes stewardship of communications platforms, website architecture, information security protocols, and technology systems that support both daily operations and interstate collaboration.

Foshee holds a degree in journalism from University of Alabama, with double minors in political science and computer science, bringing a uniquely interdisciplinary foundation that bridges communications, policy, and technology.
